Here’s a thought I’d like to share…
Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony. ~Gandhi
Yoga is the practice of coming into alignment. That alignment might be most obvious in our bodies when we do classes, but yoga isn’t limited to the mat. Yoga means a union of mind, body, and spirit and is the life-practice of aligning our actions with our values.
When our values are in line with our actions, things are easier, we meet with less resistance in our lives, and solutions are less complicated. Very simply, we are happier.
Aligning our actions and our values requires contemplation of what it is that we truly value. What is it that’s worth our precious life’s energy? What is it that we love so deeply, that matters so dearly? When we get still and quiet, these answers can surface and we can get in touch with our hearts.
When we know what it is we value, we can use those values as our North Star. We can make conscious choices about our actions; navigating our journey by repeatedly aligning what we think, what we do and what we say.
Wishing you lots of alignment,
